On March 19, the Jean Monnet 2025 Workshop took place with students of the European Economic Policy course (third-year Economics Degree). The event featured the participation of three civil society representatives: Paulino Alonso, President of Casa de Europa in Cantabria, a civil society organization that brings together individuals interested in European integration; and Miguel Lobo and Valentina González, representatives of Global Shapers Santander, an initiative linked to the World Economic Forum that brings together young people interested in promoting dialogue and action on issues of social interest.
The event consisted of a dialogue with the speakers, which included their presentations on their vision of the challenges facing Europe, and a subsequent debate with the students in which the future of Europe was addressed from various perspectives in areas such as trade policy, defense policy, foreign policy, fiscal policy, the European budget, and the green transition. The event was attended by approximately 40 students of the European Economic Policy course.
