The Jean Monnet Module will invite a world-class keynote speaker as a new annual Jean Monnet Special Lecture event. It is planned that expert practitioners and scholars on EU policy making and evaluation will be invited. Attendance will be open to the whole university community and the general public.
- Jean Monnet Special Lecture (2022/2023) “La transición verde en europa y en el mundo” taught by Daniel Chávez, co-coordinator of the Knowledge Hub Unit of the Transnational Institute (TNI), a research center based in Amsterdam and with ongoing projects in various countries in Europe and other regions of the world.
- Jean Monnet Special Lecture (2021/2022) “‘La venganza de los lugares que no importan y el crecimiento del populismo en Europa y los EEUU” taught by Professor Andrés Rodríguez-Pose, Professor of Economic Geography at the ‘London School of Economics’, where he directs the Cañada Blanch Center and the Princess of Asturias Chair.
- Jean Monnet Special Lecture (2020/2021) “‘La estadística oficial ante la COVID-19 en el Sistema Estadístico Europeo: lecciones aprendidas y nuevos retos” taught by Professor Juan Rodríguez Poo, President of the National Statistics Institute (INE) and representative of Spain in the Committee of the European Statistical System.
